The Air Cadet League of New Brunswick presented a plaque to Mr. Ray Stinson President of the Miramichi Airport Commission on Wednesday November 14th, 2007. It is a token of the League’s appreciation for the valuable assistance they provide to the Gliding Program each year... One example is with the news of tropical storm Noel approaching; the League’s Glider and Tow Plane would be exposed to the elements and possible severe damage, The Commission made arrangements for us to put the aircraft in their hanger for safety. The presentation took place at the George Street Armory in Miramichi, home to 315 (Newcastle) Squadron, Royal Canadian Air Cadets. The Air Cadet Gliding Program is enjoyed by about one thousand Air Cadets from all over New Brunswick. The Miramichi Airport Commission and their staff are appreciated for their continued support.
